Roy W. Freeman Jr.

Founder and Executive Chairman

Manager and Officer since 2024

Roy W. Freeman Jr. is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Flamsal Holdings LLC.

As Executive Chairman, Roy holds the top leadership position within Flamsal, overseeing the board of managers and often working closely with the subsidiaries’ Presidents to guide the organization’s strategic direction. He ensures that the company’s vision and mission are aligned with its business strategies and objectives. Roy’s role involves high-level decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and representing the company to investors, regulators, and the public. He balances these responsibilities while also ensuring the board functions effectively and makes informed decisions, all while supporting the Presidents in executing the company’s strategy. Balancing leadership and oversight, Roy, as Executive Chairman, plays a crucial role in steering the company’s long-term success.

Previous Experience

Before founding and being named Executive Chairman of Flamsal Holdings LLC, the Freeman family office, in February 2024, Roy was President of Flamsal Group LLC (formerly known as Dixy Co. LLC) and was responsible for all of the company’s sales, marketing, operations, service, and support in all markets.

Prior to founding Flamsal Group LLC in 2019, Roy retired from the US Army as a non-commissioned officer in 2018. He served two combat tours (2004-2006 and 2009-2010) in Iraq’s Triangle of Death region. Roy is the recipient of the Army Commendation Medal, four Army Achievement Medals, the coveted Combat Medical Badge, and many other military awards and decorations. His units were awarded the Navy Unit Commendation for outstanding heroism in action against the enemy (while under the command of the II Marine Expeditionary Force) and the Army Meritorious Unit Commendation.

He learned business and finance the hard way through trial, error, and several failed business attempts across multiple industries. These lessons and his military service transformed Roy into the combat-proven business leader he is today.

In mid 2024, Roy incorporated Petal Speech & Debate Booster Club. He consistently volunteered his time to help load and drive the equipment truck, build and paint prop enhancements, recruit other band parents, and purchase, prepare and serve meals, snacks and beverages for the Petal Band.

In late 2024, as the non-paid volunteer Board Member of Petal Band Boosters, Roy assisted the Petal Band in grossing approximately $40,000 in one day by marketing the Gary Graves Memorial Invitational through securing media coverage, advance ticket sales, logo t-shirt sales, and an innovative social media campaign (12 Days of Prizes). He implemented card processing and ticketing technologies that produced net card receipts (after fees) of $12,211.95, which were immediately sent as checks to the Petal Band.

He resigned from Petal Band Boosters in October 2024 to focus on continuing to build the Flamsal empire and expand his family’s philanthropy to a wider reach.
